The Vision

Padding 44 was built on a single conviction: the world's best companies deserve the world's best thinking. Strategic, systems-driven creative work that turns a brand into a business asset, held to a standard others measure themselves against.

The Name

In design, padding is the space between content and its edge. It is rarely noticed when done right, and immediately felt when it is missing. Padding is what keeps a layout from crowding itself, what gives every element room to breathe and hold its shape. It is structure you do not see, doing work you do feel.

Forty-four carries a meaning of its own. The number has long been associated with stability, with building solid foundations, and with the sense of being supported in the work you set out to do, whether you call that discipline, timing, or something greater.

For the founder, that meaning was never abstract. Rebuilding a life and a career meant starting from the ground up, one deliberate layer at a time, trusting that a strong foundation would hold whatever came next.

Together, the name describes exactly what this studio does: build the structure beneath a brand, with enough room around it to grow, so that everything placed on top of it holds.

The Standard

Great design is the difference between a company that is noticed and one that is remembered, between a brand that attracts clients and one that commands them.

At Padding 44, the companies willing to invest in that difference are the ones that win. And we have built a studio worthy of that investment.

The Founder

Padding 44 was founded by John Caballero, someone who understands what it means to commit to something completely, and what it costs not to.

Before Padding 44, there was a career spanning twelve years in surgical medicine. A discipline that demands precision, composure under pressure, and an unwavering attention to detail where the margin for error is zero. Those qualities did not stay in the operating room. They are present in every brand strategy, every design decision, and every client engagement this studio undertakes.

The creative path was always there: the road not taken, set aside under the weight of doubt and the assumption that art could not sustain a life. That assumption was wrong, and it took something significant to prove it.

A life-threatening motorcycle accident. A hand that required surgery. A forced stillness that made one thing clear: the only thing more costly than pursuing your conviction is spending a lifetime avoiding it.

Padding 44 is the result of that clarity: a second career rebuilt deliberately, from the foundation up.

The Commitment

This studio exists because one person refused to let doubt, circumstance, or convention decide what was possible. That same refusal goes into every brand we build. If your company is building something that deserves to be taken seriously, so are we.
